POINTS WHEN YOUR DOG IS THE ONLY DOG IN THE RING

1st place = 5 points

BEST MALE/FEMALE = 5 points
No star will be awarded because there is no competition

BEST OF = 0 points

If the dog does have competition during BEST MALE/FEMALE or BEST OF, with a minimum of 3 dogs in the ring, the dog will receive the full 10 points and/or stars

 

 

PUPPY POINTS FROM 6 MONTHS

Points earned by a puppy from the age of 6 months will no longer expire when the dog turns one year old

PLEASE NOTE: This rule takes effect from 22 March 2026, as this is the first show where this new rule applies

The dog must be older than 6 months at the time these permanent points are earned

 

 

POINTS EARNED IN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES

Points earned in different countries The Netherlands, Belgium and France will now be combined into one total score

The points from the country in which the dog has earned the highest number of points will be used as the starting score

This means there will no longer be a distinction between points earned in The Netherlands, Belgium or France

SIMPLY EXPLAINED

We take the country in which the dog has earned the highest number of points as the dog’s starting score when transferring to DBKC

From the show on 22 March 2026, all points earned at future DBKC shows will be added to this score, regardless of the country in which the show takes place

 

 

NEW CLASS

During the final show of the year, we will invite all BEST OF SHOW winners to compete for a new title

THE LEGEND OF 2026

Females and males will compete separately in the ring to ensure a fair competition

The ultimate title with its own special Award and eternal recognition in the DBKC Hall of Fame

In addition, a banner featuring the winning dogs will be created so they can be honoured at every DBKC show

This title will return every year

 

 

POINTS REQUIRED FOR THE CHAMPION TITLE

ADULT DOGS FROM 12 MONTHS

150 points & ***

PUPPIES 3 TO 12 MONTHS

100 points & **

If a dog becomes PUPPY CHAMPION and later becomes CHAMPION as an adult, the dog automatically becomes SUPREME CHAMPION

 

 

CHAMPION ROUND

All DBKC CHAMPIONS, regardless of breed, compete together in one ring

To become SUPREME CHAMPION formerly known as GRAND CHAMPION, the dog needs:

A minimum of 1 competitor is required in order for a diamond to be awarded

All titles and * earned in the past will of course remain valid
